Start with your repair

Gas or electric, model label, location of the water and whether any taps still have hot water.

Does the quote cover a repair or a replacement? What equipment and installation work are included?

Where the water appears, when it started and whether the pipe is exposed or behind a wall.

What needs to be opened to reach the pipe? Does the scope include restoring the wall or floor?

Which fixtures are affected, whether it has happened before and what you have already tried.

Which drain is being cleared? What happens if the blockage needs a different repair?

The fixture brand, what is leaking or running and whether you already have a replacement fixture.

Is the quote for a replacement part or a complete fixture? Who supplies the fixture and connections?
